An incorporated community fourteen miles from Angleton on the Missouri Pacific line in Brazoria County, began as a trading post around 1827. It was settled in 1834 and had a local schoolteacher by 1836.

Burn Ban
A burn ban is now in effect for the City of Liverpool and all of Brazoria County, Texas, prohibiting all outdoor burning until further notice due to increased fire danger.
Reminder
- It is illegal to pop fireworks in the city limits of Liverpool.
- Alcohol is not allowed on any city property, including the Pavilion.
Tax Rate
The City of Liverpool adopted a tax rate that will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by an amount of $7,931.29, which is a 11.115 percent increase from last year's budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this is $1,769.37.
